Tour Stop #1!
How do we begin...?! Our summer tour has officially begun out west. Olivia and Layla (her cello) flew to Denver, Colorado to meet Karla and then we all headed through the mountains to Creede! The drive was absolutely stunning. So stunning, in fact, that we had to stop on side of the road to play! Check it out here!
Creede was so enjoyable. We stayed with Karla's Aunt Debbie, Uncle Paul, and cousin Johnny. They were such gracious hosts, giving us the royal tour of downtown Creede, the old mines, and the mountains (check out our pictures below!). It is a gorgeous town with such great people! We were lucky enough to play at Creede Community Church for the morning service and then again as a part of Taste of Creede, the town's annual arts festival. We had a great turnout thanks to Aunt Debbie's hard work, and couldn't be more grateful for the support and excitement we received from our audience there.
We're now in Colorado Springs for the week, site seeing, playing downtown, and staying with Olivia's cousin Liz. Have we mentioned we have the best families ever? We made a stop in Denver yesterday to meet some friends and family and played on the 16th Street Mall late last night for a few tunes. Sunday, it's off to Carbondale to stay at Karla's place and play all week! More to come on that.
We are so happy to be back together - we played our first show this week since December! We so enjoy playing and writing music and are lucky that you all keep listening to and supporting us. Plans are in the works for a couple ways to make our music more accessible and personal for you all, and for you to help us share it and expand our audience. More later!
